6. Click Apply.
7. Follow the screen prompts accepting the defaults and License agreement.
8. Once the installation is complete, click Finish.
9. If you have upgraded from ISIS 7000 v2.

the previous release, to the new location on both the Active and Standby System Director,

10. Upgrade your ISBs (blades) and ISS/IXSs (switches), using the ISIS Management Console
> Engines. Select all the Engines and click Upgrade Blades and then click Upgrade
Switches. You do not need to wait for the ISBs to be finished, you can upgrade ISBs and
ISS/IXSs at the same time.

When you upgrade from v4.0 and earlier to v4.0.1 and later, you will notice that all the Storage
Managers in the Management Console > Storage Manager page displays “Install needed - No
Connection” in the Status column. You might also notice new ISBs appear with no Status. Once
the upgrade is finished, the extra ISB disappear. This is a normal one-time behavior when you
upgrade from v4.0 and earlier to v4.0.1 and later.

11. Update your Standby System Director using repeating steps 3 to 8.
After upgrading the ISB and ISS/ISX during the Active System Director upgrade, you do not
need to upgrade the ISB and ISS/ISX again when upgrading the Standby.
