Installing Cables and Connecting Power

Installing Safety Ground and Protective Earth Wiring

Caution:

Disconnect the power cords from the power source.

Connect the safety ground and protective earth wire to one of the points shown on the
preceding diagram (insulated ground wire must be used for system grounding).

AC only

Using a volt/ohm meter, measure the resistance between the ground pin on the power plug and a
ground lug in the rear of the chassis. The resistance must be less than 0.1 ohms. If the resistance is
greater than 0.1 ohms, check the power cord connections.
