Zone setpoint adjust
The occupant can adjust the heating and cooling setpoints at the zone sensor.
Zone unoccupied override
The occupant can press a button to override the schedule and place the unit in occupied
mode for 30 minutes. Each additional press of the button adds 30 minutes, to a
maximum of 90 minutes. When the override time ends, the schedule controls the unit
again.
Discharge temperature limit control (optional)
The unit monitors the discharge temperature and limits the heating or cooling outputs as
follows:
Mode
Discharge
Temperature
Capacity Limit
Heating
110°F (43°C)
0%
100°F (38°C)
100%
Cooling
48°F (9°C)
100%
40°F (4.5°C)
0%
Freeze protection (optional)
The unit shuts down when it receives a freezestat status.
Smoke detection (optional)
The unit shuts down when it receives a smoke detector status.
Fan
The fan runs when the unit runs, unless safeties stop the fan. The fan runs at:
•
Low speed when the zone temperature is within setpoints
•
Medium speed when the zone temperature is outside the setpoints by no more than
2°F (1°C)
•
High speed when the zone temperature is more than 2°F (1°C) outside of setpoints
The fan runs for 5 minutes after the heating or cooling coils go inactive, to cool or dry the
coils.
Fan status (optional)
The Room Controller monitors the fan status. It requires a positive fan status before
enabling any heating or cooling stages.
Cooling
If staged cooling is used, the Room Controller measures the zone temperature and turns
on the first and second stage cooling (if available) as needed to maintain the cooling
setpoint. A 5-minute delay between stages prevents short cycling, and each stage has a 2-
minute minimum on time and a 4-minute minimum off time.
