Electronic Control System/Battery
Charger
A Sargent EC700 Power Control System is
fitted to your vehicle. It features a built-in
battery charger, a digital control panel to
provide intelligent control of the vehicle
systems, and incorporates a smart charge
feature. This monitors both leisure and
vehicle batteries and automatically adjusts
and directs the charger power (and solar
power if a solar panel is installed) to maintain
the leisure and vehicle batteries at an optimal
level. For a full description of this unit
including operating instructions and fault
finding, refer to the Connection of Services
section.
Electrical - General
The 230V AC sockets fitted to your vehicle
are suitable only for medium demand items
such as televisions and hairdryers. Safety/
overload protection is provided by the MCBs
located under the cover on the front of the
electrical control box.
An EM40 electrical interface adaptor box is
located under the offside sofa adjacent to the
electrical control box. This contains fuses and
relays for systems connected directly to the
base vehicle electrical system and these are
unlikely to require attention from the owner.
At least one 12 volt socket and one 5V USB
charging socket are provided in your vehicle.
For its position, please refer to the Location
of Key Facilities chart.
The mains hookup cable, provided as
standard with the vehicle, is stored under one
of the seats.
Retrofit Options
Please consult either your local Auto-Sleeper
dealer or the Motorhome Service Centre,
Willersey for a comprehensive list of suitable
options available for fitment to your vehicle.
AIR SUSPENSION
Your vehicle has been fitted with a
supplementary air suspension system on the
rear axle. This is called Air Top, is
manufactured by AL-KO, and uses additional
air springs to improve the quality of the
vehicle ride.
The operating pressure may be adjusted by
the vehicle user to suit their requirements.
The system does not increase the carrying
capacity of the rear axle, or the vehicle as a
whole.
Use
The pressure is adjusted by attaching a
garage airline or footpump to the car tyre
type valves located in the passenger door
stepwell. Adjust the pressure on the gauge to
any value in the range stated for the optimum
working pressure, in order to obtain the ride
characteristics you require.
If you choose to have different pressures side
to side, ensure that the difference between
them is not greater than 0.7 bar (10 psi).
Do not inflate to more than the maximum
pressure.
Maintenance
No maintenance is required, although the
system will be checked at the annual
habitation service.
Washing with water is permitted to remove
any salt which may collect during road use.
If there are any problems with the system
contact your dealer, or an AL-KO approved
service centre.
Specification
Optimum working pressure: 1.8 bar (26 psi)
to 2.5 bar (36 psi).
Minimum working pressure: 1.5 bar (22 psi).
Maximum working pressure: 3.0 bar (44 psi).
