Tunnel Crossmember, Removing and
Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Engine and Gearbox Jack - VAS6931-
♦ Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support - T10337-
Removing
– Remove the rear noise insulation -2-. Refer to ⇒ Body Exte‐
rior; Rep. Gr. 66 ; Noise Insulation; Noise Insulation, Remov‐
ing and Installing .
– Vehicles with 3.0L TDI Biturbo engine: remove bolt -2-.
Note
Ignore item -1-.
– Place the - T10337- on the -VAG1383A- .
– Position the -T10337- on the bottom of the transmission.
– Lift the transmission slightly with the -VAG1383A- .
WARNING
There is the risk of an accident.
♦ The -VAG1383A- may only be used during assembly and
must not sit unsupervised under the vehicle.
