voice terminal cord from

2 Plug the cord into a
working voice terminal
of the same type (either
analog or digital).
3 On an analog set slide
its T/P switch to the T
position and hold it there
if necessary.

On a digital set with a
data stand, turn the unit
over and press the
recessed Self-Test button
with a pointed object
such as a straightened
paper clip.
