8.7.6 NILF Electrical Connections
The electrical connections on the component side of the low frequency beacon printed circuit board are
shown in the following drawing of the NILF circuit board.

NIRX Placement
An NIRX RF transceiver module can be piggyback mounted in the NILF to enable remote supervision
signalling of a heartbeat, low battery warning and tamper warning. The NIRX transceiver module is
piggyback mounted on the “NIRX Extension” connectors, as shown below:

Note:
To place an NIRX module it is necessary to remove the internal LF antenna
IMPORTANT:
When placing the NIRX onto the NILF circuit board, the top mounting hole of
the NILF case will be covered. Therefore the NIRX must be installed after the NILF has been
mounted onto the wall.
