6. Loosen the socket
head screw
(5 mm) and the nut
(10 mm) that holds
the brake stay in
place on the left-
hand chainstay
(W9).
7. Loosen both wheel
nuts (15 mm).
8. Push the wheel
downwards/
forwards so that
the wheel axle
comes away from
the rear fork (W8).
9. Turn the locking ring for the gear switch clockwise
until the yellow markings are aligned, then remove
the locking ring.
10. Remove
the locking ring
and the gear
switch.
11. Lift the chain (X5)
away from the rear
sprocket (X7).
12. Remove the wheel.
Fixing the rear wheel to the frame
1. Turn the gear shifter to position 1.
2. Position the wheel towards the fork ends with
the brake stay pointing forwards.
3. Hook the chain
onto the teeth
of the sprocket,
and ensure that
the chain runs
around the chain
sprocket (X4) at
the front.
4. Set the gear switch against the yellow markings on
the wheel axle.
5. Set the yellow dot on the locking ring against the left-
hand yellow dot on the gear switch. Turn the locking
ring clockwise as far as it will go.
Important:
The gear switch’s position on the wheel axle is very
precise, so the slightest movement between the yellow
markings will prevent the correct positioning of the gear
switch. It will normally be very easy for the locking
ring to be put into place. If it is not, this indicates that
the gear switch’s position needs to be corrected.
4. With your hand, press the brake arms (Y5) in against
the wheel and unhook the cable guide from the link
(Y6). Release the brake arms.

Drivetrain

Settings and adjustments
section).
