Accessing the Advanced options can be done by clicking the
Show
tab on the right of the
Advanced Configuration option on the 802.1x configuration page.
The various fields, a brief description and the default values in this section is:
Fields
Description
Authentication Server Timeout
Time in seconds. Time after which the
authentication server is timed out as the
802.1x server after it fails to respond.
Client Response Timeout
Time in sees. Time after which the client is
timed out as after it fails to respond.
Authentication Failure Timeout
The time is sees after which is the
authentication packet is not received the
transaction is marked as failed.
Client Retry Count
This is the number of attempts the switch
makes to obtain an authentication from a
client.
Server Retry Count
This is the number of attempts the switch
makes to obtain an authentication from a
server.
