In the
User Name
field, enter the MAC-address of the device to be used, (this is the
MAC-address of the physical interface that will be used to access the network). The
entry should be in
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
format.

Enter the same address in the above mentioned format in the
Password
and
Verify
Password
fields.
z
If you want to assign a special role to the user that is different from the MAC-based
authentication default role, in the
Role
field enter the role for the user.
z
Select the
Enabled
checkbox to activate the user.
z
Click
Apply
to apply the settings.

Deleting/ Disabling user from the database
z
To delete a user from the database, navigate to the
Security > AAA Servers > Inter-
nal Database
page.
z
Click
Delete
to the right of the user you wish delete. The user is deleted.
z
You can also disabled the user such that the entry will exist in the database but will not
be used for authentication purposes. This can be achieved by clicking
Disable
on the
right of the user entry.
