3.1 Unpacking and Inspecting the Card
Shipment Inspection
To inspect the shipment, perform the following steps:
1. Verify that you have received all items of your shipment:

SharpMedia™ PCIE-8120 card.

One printed copy of Quick Start Guide.

One printed copy of Safety Notes Summary.

Any optional items ordered.
2. Check for damage and report any damage or differences to our Contact Center at
RMASupport.ec@Artesyn.com .
Damage of Circuits
Electrostatic discharge and incorrect installation and removal of the card can damage
circuits or shorten their life.
Before touching the card or electronic components, make sure that you are working in
an ESD-safe environment.
