11.2 IP Traceroute
In an IP Traceroute test, the ARGUS sends test packets and then displays a list of all of the
network nodes (hops) and their response times on the way to the destination address. This
information can then be used to precisely locate delays in the network.
The following parameters (which are stored in the profile) are required for the IP Traceroute
test:
Protocol-independent parameters:
Select a profile for editing. The
selected profile will be marked blue
in the display. The default profile
will be marked in the display with a
. The ARGUS will use the
parameters in the default (preset)
profile to setup the Ethernet or
xDSL connection and for the IP
Traceroute test.
The ARGUS uses the marked
profile as the default profile and
returns to the Settings menu.
