3. Holding tension on the belt, tighten the adjuster cap
screw securely; then remove the pry and tighten the
pivot bolt securely.
4. Connect the battery (B+) wire and connect the regu-
lator control plug-in; then connect the negative bat-
tery cable to the battery.
5. Install the-left side engine cover and seat making
sure the seat latches securely.
Right-Side Components
NOTE: For efficiency, it is preferable to remove and
disassemble only those components which need to
be addressed and to service only those components.
The technician should use discretion and sound
judgment.
NOTE: The engine/transmission does not have to
be removed from the frame for this procedure.
FLYWHEEL/PTO/V-BELT HOUSING
Removing
1. Remove the transmission (see Removing Engine/
Transmission - Transmission in this section).
2. Using Drive Clutch Removal Tool, remove the fixed
drive face/clutch hub.

3. Remove two cap screws securing the starter to the V-
belt housing; then remove the starter.

4. Remove the PTO/flywheel; then remove four coun-
tersunk cap screws securing the V-belt housing to the
engine block and remove the V-belt housing.
