REMOVING
1. Remove the gas tank (see Gas Tank in this section).
2. Disconnect the intake air housing boot from the car-
buretor; then slide the intake air housing to the rear
to clear the carburetor.

3. Loosen the clamp on the intake pipe and lift the car-
buretor up and to the rear; then disconnect the elec-
tric choke connector and vent hose.

4. Remove the throttle arm cover; then loosen the jam
nut on the throttle cable and remove the throttle cable
from the throttle arm. The carburetor can now be
removed for service.

! WARNING
Whenever any maintenance or inspection is performed
on the fuel system during which there may be fuel leak-
age, there should be no welding, smoking, open flames,
etc., in the area.
