EN – Installation instructions
These instructions describe the installation and con-
nection of the Ascotherm
®
eco Underfloor Convector to
the heating or cooling system.
Underfloor convectors having electrical components
are described in a separate instruction manual.
After installation, pass
these instruction to the
builder and then on to the end-user
.
Permissible use
The Ascotherm
®
eco Underfloor Convector may be used
only in interior rooms, e.g. in living space or offices.
Any other use is contrary to its intended purpose and
therefore is not permissible.
Misuse
The Ascotherm
®
eco Underfloor Convector may
not
be
used in moisture-prone rooms, e.g. in swimming pools.
Changes or reconstructions are not permitted. The
manufacturer assumes no liability for damages due to
improper use.
Qualification of staff
The Ascotherm
®

Safety instructions
Q
Read these instructions for installation and use tho-
roughly prior to installation/commissioning.
Q
Observe local regulations.
Q
Observe the safety directions in the separate inst-
ructions for electrical connections in underfloor-
convectors having electrical components.
Danger
Life-threatening situation!
Q
Check the condition of the supply lines (electricity,
gas, water).
Q
Do not drill into any lines.
Warning
Risk of injury!
Q
Pay attention to the weight of the underfloor-
convector (see technical data).

Personal injury and material damage!
Q
Check substrate for load-bearing capacity. Take
into account the weight of the
filled
underfloor-
convector (see technical data) and possible addi-
tional loads.
Q
Make sure, that no water can enter the trough of
the underfloor convector.
Q
Select fastening materials appropriate for the
structural situation.
Q
Special requirements, e.g. for public buildings
(schools or the like), must be taken into into
account.
Operating conditions
Q
Observe operating conditions for water heating in-
stallations according to DIN 18380 "VOB German
Construction Contract Procedures".
Q
Maintain water condition according to VDI (Asso-
ciation of German Engineers) 2035 "Prevention of
damage in hot water heating installations".
Q
Use the underfloor-convector only in closed heating
systems.
Q
Store and transport the underfloor-convector only in
protective packaging.
Cleaning
Use only mild, non-abrasive cleansing agents.
Complaint
Contact the manufacturer.
