Using the Program Guide
that the program is about to start. Additionally, you can purchase PPV programming and set a
VCR timer. You can view the program guide information by time, theme, or title. When the
program guide first displays, the information is shown by time. The figure below shows the
program guide time grid.
Note: Depending upon the model of set-top box that you have, you will see one of the
following views. Throughout this section when there are two similar displays shown, the
display shown on the left is typical of the DCT 2000 and the display on the right is
typical of the DCT 2500, 5100, and 6200 set-top boxes.
The program guide shows you,
• The time grid or a list of programs by theme or time
• A black highlight indicating the currently highlighted program
• The channel call letters and number for the currently highlighted program in the upper
left-hand corner
• The title, start and end time, and a brief description of the currently highlighted program,
including the program’s rating and type of timer (timer symbol)
• Indication of ongoing programming
