Setting Your Guide to work with your VCR
Impulse Recordings:
NOTE: VCR must still be on channel 3 (or 4 in IL/PA) or on the VCR’s INPUT channel
to record what the converter is seeing.
1. While viewing channel, ensure remote is in
CABLE mode, and press [REC]
2. A
Recording Alert
screen comes on to
remind you to start recording through your
VCR. Press [A] to Acknowledge.
When the converter is in “record” mode,
“
REC
” will show on the LED front panel
display and most remote control buttons will
be locked for the duration of the show. To
unlock the remote, press [STOP] or [EXIT].
Starting Your VCR on Impulse
• Be sure that your VCR is turned on.
• Be sure that there is a recordable blank tape in your VCR. If you are reusing a
tape, be sure that the record tabs have not been removed.
• Make sure that a scheduled timer has not been set for the same time that you want
to impulse record. If so, you are not able to record; the scheduled timers and PPV
purchases always take precedence over an impulse recording.
