Locking Titles
Passport DCT lets you lock titles rated NC-17 and Adult. Not only are programs blocked so
that household members can only watch them if they know the PIN, the titles and program
descriptions do not display in the Program Guide, the Channel Banner and elsewhere. You
select the Lock Titles option in the Parental Control preference as described in the procedure
below. Once you have specified the lock setting (Yes), you must turn on locking to enable the
parameters. For a detailed overview of how parental control functions, refer to About Parental
Control on page 113.
To lock titles
1 Press the MENU button until the Settings menu displays.
2 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Parental Control preference.
3 Press the right arrow to move to the Option column.
4 Press the numbered buttons to enter the four numbers of your PIN. You now see the
Option column.
5 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight
the Lock Titles option.
6 Press the right arrow button. The Setting column displays. To lock all titles rated NC-17
and Adult, use the up or down arrow button to highlight the Yes option.
7 Press the SELECT button. A bullet displays next to the Yes.
