Receiving Messages From Your Cable Company
At some point in time, the cable company may want to send a message to its subscribers. It
could be a general broadcast or specifically targeted message. The following information
explains how to retrieve those messages.
You can receive messages sent from your cable
company. When a message is sent, an icon
displays over the broadcast, and a video LED at
the front of the set-top box is turned on.
After a few seconds the icon will disappear and
the banners (Channel banner and QuickInfo™
banner) display a reminder icon until the
message is retrieved.
To retrieve a message, go to the Settings menu. From there you can read the message, save or
delete it. For additional information, refer to Retrieving and Managing Your Messages on
page 83.
