OPERATOR FOR SWING GATES
English
INSTALLATION
3.
CAUTION! Handle the operator with care during installation.
SECURING THE OPERATOR REAR COUPLING
Position the rear coupling on the basis of the distances
•
identi
fi
ed previously and secure it to the anchor plate on
pillar, using two weld spots.
IMPORTANT
: If necessary, cut
the coupling bar to the effective useful length.
During the welding, the anti-vibration bushes must not be
fi
tted on the coupling and the hole of the coupling must be
protected.
!
Use a spirit level to check the vertical and horizontal
alignment of the coupling.
Complete the welding process and remove any residue
•
using a wire brush.
After cooling the parts, protect the
welding zone with rust-proof paint
.
PROVISIONAL REAR SECURING OF THE OPERATOR
Insert the fork on the back base of the operator (
•
A
) and
secure the fork using the pin (
B
) and two Seeger rings
(
C
).
Insert the two anti-vibration bushes above and below the
•
coupling (
D
).
Fit the operator on the coupling and secure the parts by
•
inserting the vertical pin (
E
) in the fork.
!
Grease the
pin generously.
Use the nut (
•
F
) to secure but do not tighten it fully.
FIND THE POSITION OF THE FRONT COUPLING
!
The gate must be closed.
Release the operator and extract the entire length of the
•
rod, then re-inser it for 5 mm
(safety dimension to avoid
the risk of failure)
.
!
Relock.
To release and relock the operator, use a triangular key
in the seat indicated (
fi
g.11-PART.1
), otherwise it is
possible insert provisionally the release unit without
secure it
(
fi
g.12
)
.
Assemble the front coupling (
•
G
) and the ball joint of the
rod, then secure the components using the Seeger ring
(
H
).
!
Grease the parts
.
Position the coupling on the wing. Using a spirit level,
•
check that the operator is level, then secure the coupling
on the wing using two weld spots.
!
During the welding,
protect the rod and the ball joint
.
Remove the operator from the couplings and complete
•
the welding of the front coupling.
FINAL SECURING
Reinstall the operator on the rear coupling and
• tighten
the nut fully (
F
) to secure the vertical pin (
E
) in the fork,
after checking the rod stroke:
!
close the wing completely
and check that the rod protrudes from the operator for the
desired stroke
.
!
•
Grease generously the ball joint and the relevant
securing pin, using graphite grease
, then return to put
the ball joint into the front coupling and
fi
x de
fi
nitely the
parts with Seeger ring (
H
).
