If the vehicle is used on dusty or wet roads,
the cleaning or changing operations should
be carried out more frequently.
T o c l e a n t h e f i l t e r i n g e l e m e n t i t i s
necessary to remove it from the vehicle.
REMOVING

Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
u
Unscrew and remove the nine screws
(1).
u
Remove the filter casing cover (2)
together with the filter (3).
u
Check the filtering element (3) and
change it if required.
CLEANING
WARNING
D o n o t us e p e t r o l o r i n f l a m m a b l e
solvents to wash the filtering element,
in order to avoid fires or explosions.
Do not use additives or fluid detergents,
as this would lead to moisture build-up
inside the filter casing. Use compressed
air only.

Blow the filtering element (3) with
compressed air.
CAUTION
N E V E R S M E A R T H E F I L T E R I N G
ELEMENT WITH OIL. Any oil seeping into
the belt casing would damage the belt and
cause it to slip.
