STOPPING
WARNING
If you can, do not stop or slow down
suddenly and avoid limit-braking.
u
Release the throttle grip (
pos. A
) and
gradually put on the brakes to stop the
vehicle.
u
If you need to stop only briefly, keep at
least one brake applied.
WARNING
Park the vehicle on firm and level
ground, to prevent it from falling. Do not
lean the vehicle against a wall, or lay it
on the ground. Make sure that the
vehicle, and in particular hot vehicle
components, may not put the safety of
persons and children at risk. Do not
leave the vehicle unattended with the
engine running or the key in the ignition
switch. Do not sit on the vehicle when
the stand is down.

Stop the vehicle, see above
(STOPPING).

Set the engine stop switch (1) to position

CAUTION
W i t h t h e e n g i n e s t o p p e d a n d t h e
ignition switch in position "

battery may run flat.

Turn the key (2) and set the ignition
switch (3) to position "

Place the vehicle on the stand, see on
the side (PLACING THE VEHICLE ON
THE STAND).
CAUTION
Never leave the key in the ignition
switch.

Lock the steering, see page 18
(STEERING LOCK) and remove the key.
PUTTING THE VEHICLE ON THE
STAND
Carefully read page 37 (STOPPING).
CENTRE STAND
u
Grasp the left grip (4) and the passenger
grab rail (5).
u
Push down the stand lever (6).
Side stand
u
Grasp the left grip (4) and the passenger
grab rail (5).
u
Push on the side stand with your right
foot and lower it completely (7).
u
Lean the vehicle to the side until the
stand is resting on the ground.
u
Turn the handlebar fully to the left.
WARNING
Make sure that the vehicle is stable.
