5.3.4
Nozzles adjustment
It is very important to keep the nozzles clean and correctly oriented.
Clean the nozzles during flushing operation, at the end of every spray.
Flush with clean water for some minutes.
Do not waste this water in the environment, spray on the vegetation (target of spray application).
The orientation of the nozzle flow into the air flow is possible adjusting the nozzle body orientation.
It is necessary to orient the nozzles in order to cover the shape of the vegetation in a uniform way,
considering the cone angle generated by the nozzle.
Every 4-5 spray applications verify the conditions of the nozzles components, removing and washing
carefully all parts.
Replace the damaged components.
Periodically verify the flow of the nozzles, connecting a flowmeter to the nozzles.
Replace the nozzles with flow values not responding to the nominal flow declared .
It is also important to periodically verify the evenness of the spray application, putting sensitive papers in the
vegetation.
This test allows to adjust the nozzles in the best direction to obtain an efficient and uniform application.
5.3.5
Mixture agitation
The mixture agitation in the tank is made by Venturi agitators controlled by taps.
Keep the mixture always agitated to maintain it homogeneous before starting the treatment and during the
treatment.
Do not stop agitating the mixture in case of temporary stop of spraying.
Clean the suction filter element and let the agitation run for minimum 10 minutes, in case of long spraying
stop.
Check periodically the nozzles fitted on the agitators and replace if necessary.
5.3.6
Filters cleaning
The filters are an important part of the sprayer, as they stop particles that could damage the pump, obstruct
the pump valves or the sections valves and pressure regulator.
Clean the suction filter and the pressure filter before each spray, unscrewing the filters nuts and removing
and washing the filters elements (cartridge).
After each spray flush the chemicals circuit.
5.3.7
Spraying parameters
Spraying speed is a very important parameter.
The accuracy and efficiency of the spray application depends on the spraying speed.
Always keep spraying speed as much constant as possible and according to spraying parameters.
To ensure a correct spraying, operate only with correct weather conditions:
wind speed must not exceed 5 km/h;
gentle breeze;
temperature not excessive;
air relative humidity not too low.
Before starting spray operations make sure that the hand-washing tank and the flush tank are full with clean
water.
