Flowmeter
Electro-magnetic type flowmeter has no moving parts inside.
If the flowmeter shows a loss of accuracy, it can be cleaned inside. This operation must be performed by the
Manufacturer only.
Electro-magnetic flowmeter does not need re-calibration when replaced.
Make sure to replace with a flowmeter with same performances (value of pulses/liter and flow range).
Turbine type flowmeter has bearings and turbine inside:
If the flowmeter shows a loss of accuracy, it can be cleaned inside.
Wash with water, make sure the turbine is not damaged and can rotate free.
If the loss of accuracy is not solved, replace the turbine and bearings.
Ask the Manufacturer for spare kit.
Turbine flowmeter needs re-calibration after replacing inside turbine and bearings.
All types of flowmeter can be calibrated using a digital device installed on the machine (VISIO
display, automatic controller, etc.).
Follow the instructions on the manual of the device.
It is strongly suggested to let pass through the flowmeter the whole capacity of the tank, thus having a
real parameter of volume to be used as benchmark.
During the calibration, make sure not to overtake the maximum flow allowed across the flowmeter
(keep engine revs at minimum, keep spray pressure at low value).
To speed up calibration operations, you can disconnect the hoses from the nozzles rings, thus letting
the flow come free out of the hoses.
