Table 15: Maintenance intervals
The piston sealing components are subject to strong wear and tear, conditional upon
the number of motion cycles completed. Typically, their service life exceeds 250 000 cy-
cles. For this specification, it is assumed that pistons and seals are free from contamina-
tion.
9.2.2 Lubricating Transport Rails (Linear Transporting Unit)
1. Remove carriage
2. Grease rails with ultra-thin layer of silicon lubricant
3. Wipe redundant lubricant off
4. Mount carriage
Inspect carriage or rotary table for visible
damage and clean as necessary
– Remove tip magazine
– Turn power off
– Remove microplates or reservoirs

Only linear transporting unit
– Take carriage off and clean with mild
cleaning agent or disinfectant
– Mount carriage again
Inspect lifter for damage and clean if nec-
essary

Perform precision test

Check electrical components and cabling,
test grounding (PE) conductor (only quali-
fied electrician!)
