Initiate Cal and Initiate Verify
The Initiate Cal menu option allows you to perform a manual calibration. The
Initiate Verify menu option allows you to perform a manual verification. Because
these menu options function almost identically, we will discuss them together. See
the introduction to this chapter for more information on the difference between a
calibration and a verification.
The Auto Calibrate/Auto Verify and Remote Calibrate/Remote Verify selections
are only available if you have installed an Auto Calibrate Card in your Series 2000
control unit and have a Remote Calibration Unit (RCU). If the Series 2000 control
unit detects that these options are not installed, it will automatically prompt you
with a manual calibration or verification operation when you select either the Initi -
ate Cal or Initiate Verify menu options.
If you replaced a cell or your cell has failed a regular calibration
due to a deteriorating cell, you will need to perform a primary cali-
bration rather than a regular calibration. See the “Primary Calibra-
tion” section in the Setup Key section for help.
