Direct / Playback
Direct (Upper Bank)
Playback (Lower Bank)
This function allows the monitor mix to consist
of a combination of
DIRECT
and
PLAYBACK
signals.
The main
PLAYBACK
and
DIRECT
switches in
the
MONITOR SOURCE
section allow global
A/B
comparisons to be made. Combined
monitoring is possible using the individual
DIRECT / PLAYBACK
switches in the upper and
lower banks.
This forms a
Master/Local
switching
arrangement [Fig 3.5].
Switch Illumination
When this mode is initially selected, the current
master
DIRECT
or
PLAYBACK
status is forced across all the related local switches in both banks.
For example, if master
DIRECT
is current, then the LEDs will illuminate in
ALL
the local
DIRECT
switches and
ALL
local
PLAYBACK
LEDs will be OFF.
Combined monitoring is achieved by toggling the local
Direct/Playback
switchbanks as required.
Note:
When any local switch is toggled, the master switch LED dims to indicate local override.
Note:
The last used
DIRECT/PLAYBACK
condition is stored when leaving this mode and is
re-applied upon re-selection.
