System Diagrams
The simplified system diagrams which
follow, help to identify the major signal
flow paths and their inter-relationships.
It’s worth noting how the multitrack
busses are reconfigured in
5.1 work, with
busses 1-6 used for the Direct signals and
busses 7-12 (via the input modules) for
the Playback monitor signals.
Buss Outputs 1-6 sum the buss signals in
the normal manner, but they are also used
to derive the signals for the
Main 5.1
Outputs .
Of course, busses 6-12 are still available
to the input channels in the normal
manner, it’s simply a matter of considering
their usage with respect to the current
tasks.
The Monitoring System uses a logic
controlled matrix to select the various
inputs and outputs, providing all the
necessary functions such as
Mute and
Solo .
