Module Functions
Inputs
The
M2
module uses 1/4” (6.35mm) jacksockets for inputs. All connectors are
provided on the rear terminal panel.
The stereo
FX Return
inputs are external, the
Group
inputs are normally derived
internally from the multitrack
Buss Outputs
via a pair of half-normalled
Line
Input
jacksockets.
This allows
Audio Subgroups
to be set up across the console via the channel
multitrack routing switches or external signals to be brought in directly and the
Group
section used as a
Stereo Line Input
.
Note: Groups 1&2
normally receive
Busses 1&2
etc. through to
Groups 7&8
receiving
Busses 7&8
.
Note:
All inputs are electronically balanced.
Signal Routing
The main routing area is found at the top of the module and stereo signals are
sent post-pan control to
Multitrack Busses 1-12
.
Note:
Signals are normally sourced from the output of the
FX Return
section.
Groups to Tracks
Pressing the
Grp to Tks
switch changes the routing from the output of the
FX
Return
section to the output of the
Group
section.
Note:
This would either be the
Group
signal or any signal patched in through
the
Line Input
jacks.
Auxiliary Sends
There are eight auxiliary sends fitted, arranged in two groups of four dual
concentric pots. All aux sends have unity gain when the controls are fully
clockwise.
Aux Sends 5-8
Aux Sends 5-8
are mono post fader sends, normally fed from the
FX Return
path. Operating the
Group
switch allows
Sends 5–8
to be placed into the stereo
Group
(Line Input) section.
Pre Fader
The
Pre 5-8
switch places all four sends pre-fader.
