Multi-Format Panning
It should be remembered that the
Input Channel
defines the multiformat panning
NOT
the
Busses
.
Any multitrack buss
NOT
used for
Surround
can be used as normal. This allows
Stereo Surround
discrete
Sub Busses
to be sourced from
Aux Sends
or the
Channel Path
.
Note:
Only necessary channels on the console need to be set for multi-format panning and even
though busses may be designated as
Surround Busses
, they can include
Mono
or
Stereo
signals from other sources.
SEL Switch
The
SEL
switch is accompanied by a pair
Red
and
Green
LEDs and steps the
module through the three automation system modes.
The
Green
LED indicates
Read
mode where manual control is disabled
and automated functions such as VCA fader levels and certain switch positions
are controlled directly via the automation computer.
The
Red
LED indicates
Write
mode where automated functions are controlled
manually and changes can be stored in the automation computer.
Both
LEDs indicate
Update
mode where automated functions respond to
BOTH
computer and
manual changes which can then be stored as new data in the automation computer.
Solo in Place
Supertrue
handles this operation by intercepting the
Solo-In-Place
switch and selecting the
Channel
or
Mix
solo-in-place
SEL
option, depending upon requirements.
Note:
See the
Supertrue User Guide
for more details.
