Mode Switches
This bank of four interlocking switches forms a major
part of the monitor section. The
Mode
switches control
the behaviour of the
Speaker Format
switches
immediately below them in conjunction with the choice
of
Stereo
or
Wide Format
sources on the
Bank
selector.
Note:
7.1 mode adopts the
Nearfield
switches for
inputs
7&8
. Switching in/out of
7.1
mode causes
all speaker outputs to mute briefly whilst VCA
level control is transferred between Main and
nearfield level controls. The speaker mute LEDs
will flash briefly during assignment.
Note:
When moving between operating modes (except solo), selected conditions are maintained
so you can leave and return to any mode at will, e.g. if you perform an input cut then
move into solo mode, the input cut remains until you return and change it.
Note:
The status of all
Speaker Format
switches is reflected in the switch LEDs which update as
you move from mode to mode to display the current conditions for that function. An LED
ON
indicates an active function.
The four operating modes are:
•
Format / Speaker Mute (normal operating mode)
•
D/P Solo / Speaker Solo
•
D/P Mute / Input Cut
•
Direct / Playback
