Format / Speaker Mute
Format (Upper Bank)
Press the
FORMAT/SPK MUTE
switch (LED ON), then select one of the
LCRS
,
5.1
or
7.1
switches
from the row immediately below depending on which format you require.
In this example we are using
5.1
[Fig 3.2].
Spk Mute (Lower Bank)
Check that the
SPK MUTE
LEDs correspond to the selected mode. In this case the only active
mutes (LED ON) should be
NFL/LC
and
NFR/RC
.
Note:
To mute any speaker individually, select the relevant
SPK MUTE
switch (LED ON).
Note:
Check the
Master Mute
is off.
Nearfield
To activate the Near Field monitors the
NF
switch must be selected (LED ON) whilst the
FORMAT/SPK MUTE
mode is active [Fig 3.2].
Two sets of nearfield monitors can be used. The
NF SPK2
switch presets
NF1
or
NF2
. The
NF
switch
always
performs nearfield activation.
Note:
If the
NF
switch is
NOT
selected, the main speaker defaults are applied.
Note:
In all modes
except
7.1
, all
Nearfield
speaker outputs are a “derived” stereo mix
consisting of the various elements in the monitor mix.
In
7.1
mode:
•
Nearfield Speaker 1
outputs are a “derived” stereo mix of the various elements in the
monitor mix
except
LC
and
RC
.
•
Nearfield
Speaker 2
outputs are used for the
LC
and
RC
signals.
