Communications
The
Communications
area consists of a large momentary
Talk
switch and
several routing switches to select the talk destination.
A talkback microphone
XLR
socket and level control are provided at the top of
the
M3
panel.
Talkback Routing
Studio
– Provides
Talkback
to the studio monitor outputs
Aux 1&2/5&6
– provides
Talkback
to the master aux outputs
Slate
– provides
Talkback
to all multitrack outputs, stereo buss and main 5.1
outputs.

Oscillator
A three frequency
Oscillator
with variable level is provided for line up and test
purposes. Frequencies of
1kHz
and
10kHz
each have their own
ON
switches and
100Hz
is obtained when
BOTH
are depressed.
The
ON
LED illuminates whenever the oscillator is active and tone is sent to the
multitrack and main output via the buss system.
Note:
The main
Control Room Speakers
are
Muted
when the
Oscillator
is active.
Routing
The oscillator is routed to the same destinations as talkback using the routing switches in the
communications area.
CAL
The
CAL
switch over-rides the level control allowing a preset calibrated level to be used. The level
is set using the
CAL
trimmer. Factory default is
0VU = +4dBu.
