Functions. It does not work on the
Quench/Temper, Pre/Postheat, Rollspot, Seam, Pulsation
, or
Dual Pulse
Functions. Unlike the Basic Weld Monitor, the
Energy Limit Monitor
monitors the user-selected parameter
during the entire weld function. In the case of the Up/Downslope weld function, the
UP
,
WELD
, and
DOWN
periods are all monitored.
Figure 8-3 shows a constant current Basic Weld Function with a user selected Voltage Lower Limit. Note
that the weld current is terminated automatically when the measured weld voltage drops below the user
set Lower Limit.
