Silent Mode
Some air/water heat pumps offer “Silent Mode” in addition to
standard operation. This is a low-noise operation and may al-
so have several stages, depending on the type of device. In low-
noise operation, compressors are limited in power and fans in
speed. However, this means that their maximum heating pow-
er can no longer be called up. To maintain comfort, the required
power difference is compensated out by an additional heat gen-
erator (usually an electric heating element). The higher heating
element contribution to the heating power can result in higher
heating costs.

If “Silent Mode” is switched on, the menu field “Timers” for pro-
gramming the operating times appears - after the menu has been
exited and then called up again:
The “Silent Mode” operating times are programmed as
described in the section “Setting the time programs of
the heating circle”
Part 1 of the controller maunual, program area “Info and
Quick Setting“, section “Setting the time programs of the
heating circle“.
During the set times, the heat pump operates in low-noise mode.

Feed-time for the heat-source pump in
brine/water or water/water applianc-
es can be set here. This may be neces-
sary if the time from switching on the
pump until the nominal rate of flow is
reached is > 30 seconds.
The setting is mirrored in the menu
“System settings” in the line “flow VBO”
and can also be made there.
