Key control levels overview
Key control levels overview
Below is a chart that provides an overview and comparison of the different Key Control levels. In-depth information is covered in the
pages following.
Dealer controlled systems
Dealer controlled systems are sold and serviced by the
locksmith or dealer who sold the system. End users must
order keys and request servicing through the original dealer.
End user exclusive systems
End User Exclusive Systems are sold directly to and controlled
by the end user. The systems are generally sold to larger
businesses or those that need a very high level of security. Side
bit milling is exclusive to the end user based on either a
random assignment, the first two digits of the zip code, time
zone or on a nationwide basis.
