MIDI Events
MIDI Events send standard MIDI control messages out a MIDI port (or any
other port configured for the MIDI protocol).
To Do This… Use This Event…
Send a MIDI "Note On" message out a port NoteOn
Send a MIDI "Note Off" message out a port NoteOn
Send a MIDI "Program Change" message out a port ProgramChange
Send a MIDI "Control Change" message out a port
ControlChange

NoteOn
Sends a MIDI “Note On” message out a MIDI port (or any serial port configured
for the MIDI protocol). To turn off a MIDI note, set the Note Velocity to 0.
Event Syntax

NoteOn Port Name Channel Number
(1-16) Note Number
(0-127) Note Velocity
(0-127)*
*A Note Velocity of 0 is equivalent to a “Note Off”.

ControlChange
Sends a MIDI “Control Change” message out a serial port.
