Provisioning for PSTN
Overview
Purpose
This chapter discusses the setup of a trunk.
Contents
This chapter covers the following topics:
Trunk lines
A single OmniTouch ACS can support between 1 and 8 T1 or E1 trunk lines (it does not
support mixing T1 and E1 interfaces on the same server). All of these lines are connected
to the server via a single telephony gateway board (TDM Network Interface module). The
number of actual channels per trunk is as follows:
T1 with CCS – 23 (maximum 184 ports per server)
T1 with CAS – 24 (maximum 192 ports per server)
Note:
Direct Inward Dialing, DID, is supported.
E1 (Euro-ISDN) with PRI – 30 (maximum 240 ports per server)
The TDM Network Interface module supports the following ISDN protocols:
NI2, 4ESS, 5ESS, DMS100 for T1, and EURO-ISDN for E1.
