OLD Control and Display Circuit Boards (Blue)
NEW Control and Display Circuit Boards (Green)
Service kit K/11022 consists of the main control board and display module. These controls also do not require the recent EMI shield. The
EMI shield, if installed, should be removed and discarded if it is desired to upgrade the controls.
These new control boards and displays must be installed as a set in existing Dynaline DL-3 models currently in service. The new
display is not compatible with, and cannot be used, with older version boards and the new main control board is not compatible
with, and cannot be used, with older version display modules. If either the main board or the display module of older versions
of the controls needs to be replaced, then service kit K/11022 must be used.
The updated controls include a new freeze protection feature that is active when the Dynaline is operated from the on-board thermostat
and controls. The Dynaline model will operate in heat when the temperature drops below about 45°F when the unit is in STANDBY,
HEAT and COOL mode. This mode can be disabled, if desired. If freeze protection is desired when operated from a wall-mount remote
thermostat, a third-party thermostat with the freeze protection feature must be installed separately.
To disable the freeze protection feature, press the “FAN”, “WARMER” and “COOLER” buttons on the keyboard simultaneously. “NP” will
be displayed when freeze protection is disabled and “FP” will be displayed when freeze protection is enabled.
The removal and re-installation of the Dynaline unit as well as the installation of the this kit must be made by a qualified installer, service
agency or the gas supplier.
