2.7. Communications Connector
The FireWire bus is the high-speed communications connection to the Npaq MR operating at 400 megabits
per second. All command and configuration information is sent via the FireWire port.

Before connecting any device to the FireWire bus, the device should be powered up and tested
independently to prevent damaging other drives on the FireWire bus.
