Table 12: Troubleshooting guide (continued)
Problem
Possible cause
Possible solution(s)
One unit does not flash
The power supply is not within tolerances.
Adjust the power supply and make sure it is within
tolerances
The equipment is not operational.
See problem 'Several units do not flash' and cause 'The
equipment is not operational'.
The local bus communication does not run.
See problem 'Several units doe not flash' and cause
'The local bus communication does not run'.
The flashing request is not executed.
See problem 'System does not flash' and cause 'The
flashing request is not executed'.
The dip-switches of dip-switch banks SW1 and SW2 of
the FCU PCB of the equipment that fails are not
correct.
•
or
.
•
Adjust the settings of the dip- switch banks SW1
and SW2.
The door micro-switch does not work correctly.
Replace the door micro-switch. See § 5.2.11.
The lamp switch is not closed correctly.
Replace the lamp-trigger PCB.
The capacitor does not charge at about 400 V DC.
Examine the input voltage.
Examine the capacitor.
or
.
Examine if the flasher head is operational and the lamp
life is not exceeded.
Examine if the connection between the flasher head
and the FCU PCB has a leak.
With the configuration software tool, examine if the
flasher steps are defined correctly.
The choke is not correctly connected to the FCU PCB.
Connect the choke to the TRIG and RET terminals on
the FCU PCB.
The lamp is out of service.
Replace the flasher head.
One unit flashes
incorrectly (intensity or
timing)
The local bus communication does not run.
Examine the local bus cables.
Examine the termination resistance of the local bus
cables.
The flashing request is not executed.
See problem 'System does not flash' and cause 'The
flashing request is not executed'.
The configuration (intensity level) is not correct.
Adjust the configuration with the configuration
software tool.
The dip-switches of dip-switch banks SW1 and SW2 of
the FCU PCB are not correct.
Adjust the settings of the dip-switch banks SW1 and
SW2.
The door micro-switch does not work correctly.
Replace the door micro-switch. See §
The capacitor does not charge at about 400 V DC.
See problem 'One unit does not flash' and cause 'The
capacitor does not charge at about 400 V DC.
The choke is not correctly connected to the equipment
board.
Connect the choke to the TRIG and RET terminals on
the FCU PCB.
