3. Remove the cover. See § Remove covers .

Warning
Make sure that you connect the wires correctly to the capacitor terminals. Always connect the red wire to the
positive. An incorrect polarity may cause a risk of serious injury and may damage the equipment.
4. Connect an earth wire between the two terminals (A) for a few seconds. The capacitor discharges.
5. Remove the bolt (B). Use a size 19 wrench.
6. Remove the capacitor (C).
7. Disconnect the wires from the terminals (A).
8. Connect the wires to the terminals (A) of the new capacitor. Connect the red wire to positive.
9. Install the new capacitor (C).
10. Install the bolt (B). Use a size 19 wrench.
11. Install the cover.
12. Close the cabinet door.
5.2.10 DC power supply
Prepare
The DC power supply module receives its input power from the FCU PCB through the connector P7. In an FCU-3 cabinet, one
FCU PCB provides power to the DC power supply.
1. Make sure that the FCU PCB and the fuses F1, F2 and F3 work correctly.

Remove
2. Make sure that all power to the equipment is OFF. See § Prepare: Switch OFF power supply .
3. Remove the two screws (B). Use a long screwdriver.
4. Remove the DC power supply module (A).
5. Disconnect:
•
the input connectors;
•
the distribution connectors;
•
the earth connection.
6. Make sure that the voltage on the AC distribution connector (C) of the new module is 230 V.
