A specific orientation of the connection box is not prescribed for vertical installations, although the rotation
of the sensor may not exceed the value shown.
5.1.2 Maintenance/Repair
The flowmeter primary is essentially maintenance free. An annual inspection should be conducted to check
the ambient conditions (air circulation, humidity), seal integrity of the process connections, cable entries and
cover screws, reliability of the supply power, the lightning protection and the grounds. For all repair and main-
tenance operations the requirements per Elex V are to be observed. It is recommended that repairs only be
made by the manufacturer. Please note the information (Hazardous Waste Regulations), if the flowmeter pri-
mary is to be returned to the ABB Automation Products factory!
