1. Before installing or operating a breaker, refer to the breaker instruction manual for
pre-operation inspection and test.
2. Check thoroughly for any damaged or loose parts and for any dirt or foreign matter
which may be in the breaker.
3. Clean those areas if necessary with a clean, lint-free rag and isopropyl alcohol or
acetone.
4. Be sure to apply a thin film of electrical grease (Mobilgrease 28) to the primary
disconnect fingers (Figure 21 and 22).
