Frequency Hopping
Frequency hopping is another important measure to enhance ZXG10-OB06
(V1.0) performance. It not only improves the anti-fading capability in the
downlink channels, but also strengthens the communication security. The
ZXG10-OB06 supports two working modes:
•
With frequency hopping: Transceiver changes working frequencies
according to a certain hopping sequence.
•
Without frequency hopping: Transceiver locks a specified working
frequency.
Power Control
ZXG10-OB06 (V1.0) provides the following power control functions:
•
Static power control: It ranges up to 12 dB, with 2 dB per step. The
static power control enables OB06 coverage adjustment.
•
Dynamic power control: It ranges up to 30 dB, with 2 dB per step. BSC
can adjust OB06 transmitting power according to the distance between
MS and OB06
•
Idle time slot transmitting shutoff functions: When there is no downlink
signal, BSC commands OB06 to shut off the transmitting power of that
time slot. These power control functions increase the efficiency of
transmitter and reliability of power amplifier, and minimize the
transmitter interference.
Baseband Processing
Baseband processing implements the function of physical layer on Um
interface, by processing all full-duplex channel baseband data on one
TDMA frame.
In the downlink direction, it performs the following functions:

Rate adaptation
•
Channel encoding and interleaving
•
Encryption
•
TDMA burst generation
In the uplink direction, it performs the following functions:
•
Digital demodulation
•
Decryption
•
De-interleaving
•
Channel decoding
•
Rate adaptation
