C.13.4.1 PWE IP Uplink Mapper Card External Connectors and Pinouts

The PWE IP uplink card has two ports for the uplink. These two ports are mutually exclusive 
- the customer can use one or the other, but not both. The SFP cage resides near the top of the 
card and offers a 1 Gigabyte transport mechanism of the customers choosing; most likely an 
optical cable. The second port is an electrical 1 Gigabyte RJ-45 port. Figure C-36 shows the 
card faceplate, and Figure C-37 show the RJ45 jack while Table C-35 shows the pinout for the 
RJ45 jack. The RJ45 jack is an auto-sensing Ethernet jack. Either a straight-through or 
cross-over cable can be used.
