Using the Password Feature
The DME-05 supports the assignment of a password to restrict access to the user interface.
*Note:
Once a password has been set, it can be changed, but the requirement of a password cannot be undone.
(1)
In the System Setup tab, click on “go” next to “Set Password”.
(2)
The change password options appear. Enter the new password twice and click the “change” button.
(3)
Wait for the password options to disappear. This indicates that the password has changed.
(4)
Refresh or retype the IP address in the web browser. You will then see a prompt for a user name and
password. Use “admin” for the user name. This value cannot be edited.
(5)
Enter the new password.
(6)
You will now be able to access the user interface.
Click “go”
Enter new password twice
Click “change”
