WebSwitch™ Users Manual
2.4.5 Date/Time Web (Model XRDI-WS3P only)
WebSwitch Plus™ uses the time for scheduled events, such as turning the outlets on or off at scheduled times
and for logging (a time stamp is included with each logged event). The time is stored and displayed in 24-hour
time format. WebSwitch Plus™ has a capacitor-backed real-time-clock circuit that will keep track of time for
several days in the event of a power failure.
Current Date/Time
This is the current date and time stored in WebSwitch Plus™. The time is stored and displayed in
24-hour format.
Set Time
This drop-down list offers two options for setting the time:
Manually
or
Sync with NTP server
.
Note: The options that follow this field will change based upon how this option is set.
-
Manually
is selected when the user needs to manually enter the time and date. When this
option is selected, parameters 3-4 appear.
-
Sync with NTP server
allows the user to set the clock automatically by using an NTP (Network
Time Protocol) server. Many NTP servers are available for use on the Internet. In addition, many
desktop computers will function as an NTP server (both Mac and PC). Note that if a desktop
computer is used, firewall settings may need to be adjusted to allow for NTP communications
(port 123). When this option is selected, parameters 5-8 appear.
