Notifications from the Perfusate Gas Monitor will typi-
cally be caused by either a disposable sensor failure or a
communication failure between the fiber optic transmitter
and the XPS Software monitor.
Check to make sure sensors are seated properly in their
housings.
Check to ensure the PGM calibration numbers from the
sensor package have been entered correctly (Sec 4.3.3).
Replace the disposable sensor with a new one and re
-
calibrate the sensor as necessary (Sec 4.3.3).
Use the hospital's calibrated blood gas analyzer to con-
tinue measuring perfusate samples if the PGM system still
does not function.
