• In the media source (either a paper cassette or the multipurpose
feeder) and the toner cartridge (A)
• In the back of the paper feeder (B)
• Around the toner cartridge (C)
• In the paper exit area under the fuser cover (D)
• In the optional duplexer (E).
Use one of the following two procedures to locate a paper jam; then
see “Clearing Paper Jams” for details on removing the jam.
Locating Jams on a Printer
without the Duplexer
1. Check for paper jams in the paper cassette or multipurpose
feeder from which the media was fed.
2. Check for paper jams in the paper exit area under the fuser
cover.
